AsGareth mentioned earlier on the post are these sensors programming-in parts ? The oil pressure was tested with a gauge & computer tool and was confirmed OK. Could this be a mechanical fault like engine wear due to running with low oil pressure, oil pump or / and the oil pressure control valve N428 ?
8 Jul 20, 2016. #1. so my car gave me a low oil pressure warning today at low speeds low revs so switched it off immediately and coasted to a halt. Currently at an Audi specialist awaiting diagnosis. Hopfully got away with it as turned it off straight away there were no noises or shuddering or anything so hopfully just need too change the shaft.

Ihad exactly the same problem on my 2001 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro Sport that I bought in 2003. After driving around 50-60 miles as a continuous trip the orange “Oil Level Low” text warning came on the dash board. This is not to be confused with a red oil pressure warning which did not light.
