Knockon wood, so far, unplugging and plugging the camera back in seems to resolve it. Have to pull the interior hatch trim off (but it's really only 4 screws and a bunch of tabs, and you can find YT videos showing how to do it). Once the cover is off, the plug is right there. And it's back on again :). Basedon the information you have provided this sounds like the common issue with the MMI software itself. Allother electrics work, both keys lock and unlock, indicators work, headlights etc. Before sending the clocks off I did the usual checks: Checked dash fuses . Engine fuses . Checked battery . Tried another battery . Had the battery tested by tyre centre and was told it was good, no dead cells.

Okay, going to passenger side and check the 2 fuses for MMI display and MMI unit/drives and see if either is blown or not. After that will go in and check the wiring behind the MMI display for any broken wires.

Inshort while the A4 was in to the local main Audi dealer (York) for a cambelt change I asked them to diagnose the hood fault and was told I needed a new pump which would be £1200 plus! When speaking to Mervyn (Ebay chap) I described the symptoms of the hood not working and he immediately confirmed it was a motor fault as the original yZUVrp.
